Juniors News

Congratulations to our dedicated juniors who represented the orange jersey with pride at the Tamworth Junior Tour on 5/6 June.  As always, they made themselves, their parents and their club proud with their enthusiasm, brave efforts and great results.  It takes a lot of $$, time and effort to get the kids to these events.  So full credit to their commited parents.  

Special mention should be made of Peiden who is currently 1st place in the under 13 boys GC.  Apparently with all his prize winnings he will be needed an armed security guard to escort him around the circuit!

Well done to Tegan, Tayla, Kodie, Nick, Andrew, Alex, Mitch, Syan and Peiden.

U/13 girls - Tayla 4th on GC.  Another huge effort from Syan who rode and completed another tour and always had a smile.
U/13 boys - Peiden 1st x 4 stages including 3 solo breaks in the 3 r/races for 1st place on GC.
U/15 men - Kodie held KOM jersey into final stage, went with an early break but was caught and fell victim to team tactics to narrowly miss the KOM prize - 7th on GC.  Still waiting to hear on how Alex and Mitch went.
U/15 women - Tegan 6th on GC and 4th in TT.

U/17 men - Andrew started the stage start but DNF'd. Nick 1st on stage 1 and held yellow jersey until stage 3!

Juniors Training at Adcock Park

Our junior squads will be training under lights from 6-7pm on Wednesday nights during winter.  Road bikes only.   This is kindly sponsored by Gosford Veterinary Hospital at East Gosford.

Central Coast Cycling Club has a strong junior contingent of which we are all immensely proud.  They all started with the Kidz Bike Skills course held a number of times a year at the CARES facility at Ourimbah.  If you are interested in registering for the next course, please contact Michael Hull on (0414 210 926).

Membership: 

· Only $5.00 for Annual "Kidz" Licence for U/13's
· $44.00 for 13-18 years
· Course Fees: $4.00 per week
